There is alot of info about handling in this months redline mag, infact the whole mag is mostly about getting the message across.........sort your handling as power is nothing without it. A common mistake many make. You will also see the Revo Cupra in there, mad motor

That is stunnin mate, how low is the car and do you have any clearence issues??? Coilovers I take it???

Are the wheels 18" or 19???

Hes on KW v2's and it used to be lower when it was on the 18's now it on 19's. There are clearance issues only if you go to fast over speed bumps. You just have to take everything slow and carfull.

I was on there site and saw that, looks good :)

I was actualy thinking Aaron we should ask my uncle to get in contact with Redline and say that was us and do they wana do a 2 car feature??

cheers... as said by nick it does scrape a bit but mainly inner arch now (used to be the engine tray) but the KW's are on full soft so i cant complain and the roads around my way are awful!

it would make a nice change wouldnt it

i did my usual today and tried to take a 0.2mm cut out of the bore of the MAF housing.... the wall of the sleeve was getting quite thin so it just ripped it apart. I've been wondering for a while if it was my TB (or something else) that might have been causing the problem with low flow

this is a log from on the way home. Running B9 T7, i still have the cam chain issue so im still getting CF's. running with isopropyl alcohol as i was at work and had an empty tank.... by the way a 50/50 mix is flamable

on some other runs i was seeing 220g's and this is with the MAF at 74.4mm!

and you noticed improved flow? goes to show not enough air is comming down the cia, think i might put my secondary in to the side of the filer housing if im moving the battery to the boot. What you think? Ill w8 till i have logged with the open cone

i dont think i ever said i had improved flow with the holes buddy

i definately had more flow through having two feeds though..... as i put the holes in after maybe i lost some but its still doing well now.

i've done the air filters bit to death along with custom TIPs and i'm still not happy with my results yet. i have a 850bhp huge 100mm Jetex cone to fit soon. ;)

Stock box and paper filter..... not bad with consistant results
Stock box with green panel filter........ slightly less than above.
XL Dynatwist cai....... a little less than above (filter cone is just too small)
XL Dynatwist as open cone........ not much of an improvement.
400bhp large jetex..... very good and at leat 6g/sec ahead of any of the above.

But heat under the bonnet does reduce the g/sec of the Jetex set up after the first run.

A custom tip will allow you to point the maff toward the front of the vehicle, then we need a diablis type solution which will flow the air directly into the maff and then the turbo.
Cones suck the air through 90 degress (side on) which kills velocity. I have a custom maff housing which although reads less than true due to the dilution of air flow across the sensor, its not restricted by the stock maff air straightners which impeed flow.

I don't understand why you've upped your injector sizes though. Any fuellin adjutments are easily done with lemmingwinks.

thanks Dizzy

upped injector sizes?? we're both still on standard but with a 4bar.

i was thinking (before fitting the meth tank there) about cutting the top 90 off of my TIP fitting a joiner and turning it to face the front of the car more. it will be interesting to see how you get on

WW - Have you tried the Dynatwist with a Force Air CIA like mine and Aarons? Our CIA's go down to the front of the car and are facing in to the "wind"?

I was thinking about these holes, surly any pressure you getting from the forced air is just beeing blown out the hole?

Theres a post on the MK1 section with a guy looking at the space between the head and the battery to run a cold air feed, with a TIP adjusted to face toward the front of the car this would be ideal to get the max cold air in there.
Would be good to see some development in this

Re the injectors ... my bad, i thought you'd physically uprated them rather than stating thier true flow inconjunction with the 4 bar reg.:cheeky:
To be fair and i should have stated this i only fed the dynatwist from the stock wing feed position, due to being paranoid about water ingress from the fogs position.

Try a large jetex cone guys, not the ultimate solution but should raise your g/sec.
If the diablis wasn't so expensive i'd have a bash at moding a 2.0tfsi one to fit the lcr. it takes high air velocity without bends staight into the intake without any water issues.
The more air that can be fed into the turbo the less work it has to do.
i had good gains with a cutom 3 inch tip that i used to recommend whole heartly but others haven't achieved the same gains.

Might be tho aaron? your airflow is great, but what if you can get better im looking at this
mid_greenair_pow_conical.jpg

Alltho Wooki said he seen better flow with one get got from flee bay. If i move the batt i can gate a huge one in with modding the TIP like you talked about a while ago.

Also i have not seen any LCR flowing as much air as Aarons on the std K04 but Ed is flowing 204 with stage one @18 psi. Whats the limit of the KO4 flow wise?
