Send me pm tomorrow and saturday to keep reminding me, I get some pics for you and I send the old ones off my car for free so you can play about with them! (one is damaged)

Im pretty sure the 888's have a taller profile, would that not balls up your trick corner weighing?

No I did ask about that all the taller profile will do is raise the car futher from the floor not adjust anything geomertry wise to the suspension. A softer tyre means you can run more negitive camber so he told me lol.

And one thing that I didn't know:

Q) Say you back end so stepping out (oversteering) what would you do to the tyre pressures at the rear?

Would you,

a) Lower the pressure?
b) Raise the pressure?

I would have said lower the pressure to give more "drag" sort of effect but NO..... so I was told at Center Gravity if you increase tyre pressure you get more grip.

So if you want to stop oversteer you would increase tyre pressures

He's gotta know more than me he does track side assistants to race teams lol

Yeh - thats why I have never fitted one - but they look good.

Bill at Badger-5 the the man for throttle bodies. For ECU etc, I would recommend a place thats good and close to where you live - you will need to go back several times so handy to have someone close by - and a lot of places have their own preference for ECU as its what they are used to fitting and mapping

what ECU-type are you thinking of using?

Do you already have a decent cylinder head? what about cams and exhaust manifold and system?

I don't really have anyone close by (from south wales). So will have to travel thats the problem. I had a price of Bill ages ago and been searching for a kit found omex and emerald but I would like and would go for DTA. And would probably order from Bill.

I reckon the headwork I had done was pretty good (don't know too much but from what I do know, I'm happy with it). Cam's I have at the moment schrick 268 cams but I will be going bigger if I had throttle bodies fitted maybe Cat Cams, depends where I go to and what they prefer and can tell me about them.

Manifold I have the TSR 4-1 manifold, okay not the best from what I have heard but only one for the car. I was emailing Simpson Exhausts back year or two ago to have one made from my car, manifold and exhaust system becasue at the moment I had a system from a local custom exhaust company and there can be a hit or miss really.

I would like to have some names and numbers of companies. I had the work done at Stealth Racing, well impressed with the work but last time I spoke to him about throttle bodies he told me he's trying to get awat from them because the other units are complaining of the noise when mapping??????

Think he's heading more towards the 20vT lumps now. I don't mind traveling okay might have to go back and fore specially with having the bottom end done because it's gotta be run in but easy enough to hire a trailer to pull it up there.

Keep looking at the car, ploughin money into it and I sit back and think i could afford to have a lotus, evo or a cossie but got this Ibiza which I love and owe me to much so would rather look back and say I built it to the best I could.

My car is not for sale. I have just fitted it with a 6 speed sequential gearbox and are going to race it again for a couple more years at least. What I was referring to was some bumpers I have come across that are genuine Seat Sport Ibiza F2 bumpers made of kevlar. The real deal. As used on Gwyndath Evans' Evo2. They would be a nice addition to a car like yours.

My engine was built by a chap who makes European Rallycross championship engines - and he is very particular who he works for I am afraid so I cannot tell you - he only builds race engines. Maybe I could buy an engine from him for you but it wont be cheap and he will only sell a complete engine that is dyno tested before delivery.

There are not many places who build VW engines in this country. CNC heads in Manchester look good to me but I have no direct experience of them. Dave Baker at Puma Race Engines does some good stuff if he has the time. John Read makes some cracking engines on the south coast, but he will be expensive. F2Stu had an engine built for his cordy - check out his thread for details - but I think he had a few issues with it. TSR are back in buisness who might be worth checking out - and are not too far from you either in Bridgend. Avoid Grant Motorsport nr Bristol like the plague - he is totally unreliable.
