Anything that alters the performance of the car.
Well I opted for the Halfords 10w40 for £21.99 which not too bad
Plus got a free 8 piece screw driver set
Lucky i didn't wander into to the car cleaning section
Searchy searchy my friend
But I don't understand the benefits of 10w-40 whats the point in having thicker oil when its cold?
I searched through 12 pages of results but I cannot find the answer to what you are claiming, no need for ban signs because I challanged your answer! There are no benifets of running a 10w-40 semi syth compared to 5 or 0w-40 fully syth. All the oils meationed will be the same thickness at operating temps just fully syths stay resistant to degrading over time better. Also I would want the thinest oil possable when the engine is cold so oil pressure is reached quickly. (sorry for the poor grammer and spelling on my iPhone lol)You dont understand because you havent done that search i mentioned

Not reading the right pages then are you.
Want clarification then ask someone like Bill (badger5) or any of the other tuners on here an they will confirm that modded Cupra's should run 10w40. Or failing that ask Opie Oils
Ive not been on here this long without picking a **** load of info on the way. The answers to 99% of questions asked are already on this forum its just people are too damn lazy to find then for themselves which is why the famous search word pops up in pretty much every thread
You just missed the Mobil 1 Super 5l bottle for £15. I would never put Halfords own into my car even though the sales person was like "it's basicly the same quality as Mobil" and that Mobil is owned by Comma!!!!!!!
