Head Light Bulbs

Any recommendations for bulbs for my Leon?

I have phillips xtreme H7 which are not bad and give a good spread of light

Osram Nightbreakers H7!!! But don't leave them on all the time. I did it with mine since the car has the coming home function. Since they're quite highly strung bulbs, I think the Philips Xtreme's aswell, they don't last as long.
Mine died after approx 13k miles. But they were on all the time as I said.
Should I get another set, gone through 2 sets already, I'll have to turn them off when not needed.

Good lighting, much further/whiter/brighter than the originals.

I just put in Philips Xtreme last weekend - I changed one on Friday evening and had a look later that night to compare against the bulb that comes standard in the FR. Looking at them head on there was no difference in terms of how bright/white they looked.

However looking at the road ahead the difference was Xtreme - the Xtreme bulb lit the road ahead probably 3 times or more than the original.

If you're looking for something brighter and whiter the Xtreme was no different than the standard FR bulb but in terms of lighting up the road ahead it was a big improvement.

Also bought them online 20 quid with free blue side light bulbs - tbh wasn't even gonna put them in as I thought they might look naff - gave them a shot and they look better than the headlights - really bright and white compared to the standard yellowish sidelights.

I have the Xtremes in too and they are fine - a bit overrated but better than most.

Re short life - look at the very small print on the packaging and it says that these bulbs have a short life!!!
