Boost gauge wiring with photos - advice

would speak cable do the job for this wiring extension if not where is the best place on a bank holida to get 3 diferent colour stands of wire about half a meter long

tried that no joy managed to do it without removing scuttle panel in the end :D

have boost gauge working now just the illumination to do - where is the best to spur off was thinking of usng scotch locks for this to make it reversible should i wish to remove it rather than sldered in

searched the forum and the wiring lokks diferent on other peoples light switches to mine

how do i remove the light switch

so far i have removed the fuse board
reached in behind and unplugged the multiplu as in above post but cannot get the light switch out - wil need to do this if i am to use a multi meter to test

hi mate ive wired mine up to my dimmer so they just come on when you have the sidelights and headlights on, but mine only lights up at the needle same as urs mate

has anyone got a wiring diagram for the lights switch please all pins are numbered on the back of the switch could work it that way - cannot find my multimeter or test lamp - must have lent them out :(

im looking for the lights on feed only want the gauage to light when the lights are on not when the dash lights up

finally got round to wiring my gauge up yesterday.

on my gauge i had the following:
red - positive
black - negative
yellow - ignition

it lights up fine, BUT..it doesnt remember what colour i want. i have to select red each time i start the car.

i wire the red to the posiitive and black to the negative and the yellow to the other thats pointed out on this photo...any sugestions guys?

Mines wired to the dimmer and mine comes on with ignition and lights the whole guage up........and dims up and down on the switch :confused:

If you follow the wiring on the guide it tells you what wires to use mate.

mine lights up fine - all of it, but its not recalling what colour i had selected. where is the permanent feed for my red cable to go to? should i leave the yellow and black cable where they are?
