Haven't really found anything about this thread on Ibiza Mk2 section... so - here goes - :D I'm about a week away from getting my 16" Cupra Mk3 alloys, FINALLY doing something to my car except shining it up and cleaning it every week!... I want to paint the brake calipers tornado red. What cleaners etc do I need to prep the calipers? What do I need to do in order to get them clean enough for painting. What type of paint do I need etc . Any answers would be of valueble help!

Thanks! ;)

Yep, brake cleaner comes in a black aerosol.

Assuming you're painting them with the calipers on the car? Use brush on paint, not spray, it'll be much easier.

So this paint - how will I get it in Tornado? Sell it off the shelf or will they have to rip me off an mix it. It's Y3D, Tornado Red...

jus red caliper paint, my rears dont match the brembo red but no one as noticed. And if they too bright they will fade or get dirty in time.

The Seat decals, i did hav some here and why would you u want to fit brembo stickers to standard brakes?

Here's a picture of how they are at the moment. Cleaned them with hot soapy water, but that's it really...

the next thing i was going to do was paint my calipers lol,
ive been told to use a wire brush to get all the brake dust off and use the cleaner as Dinky Dave said etc, then get caliper paint from halfords, comes in tins...they dont do colour coded for that but you dont really need it lol, then brush it on....
