OK. I've just kerbed my last wheel. That's the full set now.

For the love of f*ck can someone tell me where I can get a colour pen to disguise them till I get them refurbed.

On the subject is £300 a realistic budget to get them done proper including tyres on and off.

Any pointers of who to use in glasgow area.

I just paid £253 all in for a full refurbishment of my BBS CK wheels (that I'd managed to batter the crap out of in the ice in Feb) with the Wheel Specialist in Leeds. I gather they have franchises all about though. On their site they have a new place in East Kilbride just opened?

Thanks Lads, I'm going to get a price from the wheel specialist today. Hopefully he'll match the Leeds price.
I'm thinking of going Gloss black or smoke chrome.
Any thoughts?

Jacey can you tell me the product code of the black hubcaps - I've powder coated mine glossy black and I'm looking for the matching hubcaps. In case you don't know you can pop one out and read the code from the inside 1P...something.

Black centre caps (for Orion wheels 1P0 601 025 E) is 1P0 601 165 ZPP

Edit: the Silver/Red one is 1P0 601 165 UFT, by the way.

I believe that the Yellow and the Candy White Cupras are the best with black wheels. If I didn't have a candy white cupra I would have gone for a yellow one ;) Glossy black for the Orions is the best but be prepared to have them dusty in the first mile. Especially if you are in a country like Greece during summer! Friends tried to tell me that they were going to get dusty but I wasn't listening - the overall image of the car though pays off!

Afternoon, not been on for a long time, just had my alloys powder coated at ESP in glasgow, good job, I think, £260 for the same day service or £55 a wheel normal, hope that helps. Got mine redone in black they were painted before never lasted.

Jacey Boy,

Your car looks awesome with those black rims. Next spring, after taking the winter out of my standard colour alloys and once I have all my power mods done, I will get mine powdercoated black with a 5mm yellow band round the other lip (where it meets the tyre). I am also going to get my roof covered with a gloss black vinyl.

Jacey Boy, your car looks mint. What do you use to keep it that way.

Vern and Nathan thanks for the contacts, I'll be sure to try them.

The Wheel Specialist must have been on holiday today and will phone me back tomorrow. I'll probably go with the cheapest quote but The Wheel Specialist is more convenient for me. I can leave it in the morning and collect it after work. (In granny mode of course).

I would still be interested to hear what you thought of the smoke chrome or even black chrome. I think other peoples black wheels look good but I am worried I will grow tired of them.

I've always thought wheels should be silver and didn't like the anthracite to begin with.

Surely Gloss black wheels are the easiest to touch up.
