The shocks will not keep the car up but if the shocks are bottomed out just now the uprated shocks will allow the car to drop a little. But I doubt the ride height will change
pm'd you back dude...quite informative too
yeh, then you can decide on exact ride height. obviously the lower you go the stiffer it will get. i didnt uprate my top mounts, but never had any problems
Adam, what size nuts did you need to cover 15mm spacers? My coilovers arrived this morning only ordered them 2 days ago.
i had mine supplied and fitted at midland VW for £400. i also had 15mm spacers all-round as i needed to clear the front locking nuts on the coilovers. excuse the dirt:
did you get yours off ebay?
my coilovers were a LOT better than standard
my coilovers were a LOT better than standard..im back to standard height now and it feels like driving a boat compared..
Punchit - the bolts came with the spacers so not a clue. PM Jimski, as he bought em off me and could probly measure em for you.
A spring / damper option is likely to offer far greater compliance, stability and ride than coilovers set up by Joe Public, particularly on public roads.
