You still getting problems with mpg Chris? Happy with the exhaust?

MPG is fine pal, got a nice 54MPG on the way back from Alton Towers on Sunday, non-motorway too......all twisty roads through the national park.

Exhaust is lovely, really well built and finished the back end off nicely!!

What do the new speakers sound like, Chris?

Speakers sound good, nowt special but a defo improvement over stock. Now I know how easy it all is and now I know how much magnet room there is I may upgrade to components.

Not a bad sounding system at all though, got them JBL's for a cracking price off a lad on here.....couldnt turn them down really.

Very nice and shiny Chris :) The tailpipes look good, but how long will it be before they are all sooted up!?!

Seeing your back end fully debadged makes me want to completely debadge mine now.

The tailpipes were black......I cleaned them with washing up liquid and a cloth. Bling bling..

Hows the **** mate?

Yeah the **** is good thanks, really pleased with it. It's a pig to keep clean, but that's just TDI's for you. I've started putting alloy wheel sealant on it each time I wash the car and it does seem to make it easier to clean the soot off.

Nomad Pillar & Autogauge

Very happy with how it all looks, the gauge is quite noisy on low revs but I shall have a read to see how I can reduce that.

Not sure if the gauge is reading right? It peaks past 30PSI and settles at 25-26PSI. This sound about right for a mapped TDI 150?

Thats a huge amount to boost, more than 2bars. I don't know if this is wrong but sure someone will be along soon to confirm

I didn't think the needle should go off the scale..... I remember from my last VAG-COM logs that my MAP was reading 1880mbar of boost.....and settling at 1500mbar.

Why is the gauge massivly out?

Very jealous Chris :) Your Leon is looking very nice

I am doing all the other mods before a boost guage? Wrong way round it seems.

Boosting past 30psi sounds a bit much ... but settling at 25/26 is about right.

edit: just read why - you need a restrictor in there, that will cure the noise and sort the boost reading out - also have you clamped the hose to the back of the gauge?

I havn't clamped the hose to the back of the gauge.......it was a very very tight fit....I had to warm the hose up on hot water to get it on both guage and EGR.

What is this restrictor you talk about sir?

It's a plastic inline piece that narrows from pipe width down to about 1mm or so to stop the gauge hissing.

I've sorted it all, there was a T-piece supplied with the AutoGauge and it has a tiny brass reducer. I've shoved some hot glue down the bottom of the 'T' to block that end off.

Much better now, reads spot on and no more buzz. Thanks for all the help. :)
