If I was willing to keep upgrading my car I would probably do something similar. I'd probably stiffen up the suspension (especially at the rear to stop it squatting on acceleration) and fit an LSD and ARBs. And better brakes would also be a possibilty too.

I think the Carrera 4-pots are just rebadged brembo's (same as the LCR has). I was thinking of 6-pot brembos/APs with seperate bells and discs, and ferrodo pads :)

From the sounds of it an LSD would be your next step.

Btw, how did you get to stage 2 without a FMIC and exhaust upgrade?

i have milltek dp and sports cat, fmic asnt required to map stage 2, doesnt alter fuelling etc.

well the 4pots are certainly an upgrade fronm the single pot cupra calipers that were on there!!;)

Ah - wasn't in your siggy before :)

I don't suppose you'll notice the engine mounts that much (side-to-side movement) but probably worth doing if you're changing your bushes all round...

engine mounts are very noticeable mate, dogbone as a vast improvement....

all ads to planting the poer onto the road, no use having the bhp if its got nohere to go.

yep, thats hat im on about mate...

dogbone is only half the improvement.

2 top engine mounts really plant the poer don, being stiffer than stock. so the noticeable difference beteen the db and standard ill be the same from the other 2 mounts.

especially on higher powered cars

i have ths db mount, similar density to your ina one. try the ina top mounts and youll love it.

Actually I'd say that the dbm is 90% of the improvement as the problem is really with front-to-back movement not side-to-side.

You are right that it will tighten it up a little - all I'm saying is that it will be a very small improvement.

I would consider the THS engine mounts when/if mine become sloppy, as they are about 30% stiffer than stock, but for the dbm the INA was my preference at 90% stiffer.

If your going to the trouble of getting a diff then while the box is out have a uprated clutch fitted,as you will change your mine about the turbo route in a few months time.

ha ha, new clutch been on 2000 miles anyway mate.

its not my mind that needs changing its the wifes, and that dont get changed very often tbh.

think im going to have to settle for the piddly ko3s power and concentrate on using it effectivly.

not much that keep up in a strait line now anyways:p

Yep they're a good price aren't they (that's pretty much what I paid for my dbm alone!).

Yep, let us know what you think...

(I do wonder if the THS dbm's as stiff as you'd like though)
