James a Phenolic gasket will help you keep your FMIC cooled boost pressure.
I would say get a new front ARB and S3 strutt brace ontop of all the above.
With the above plus what you have mentioned all you'll need is a KO3S hybrid, injectors, bigger MAF and better exhaust manifold and your all the way to a very quick spooling flying machine

much prefer to make the 230bhp feel quicker by getting it on the road better

A phenolic gasket is a spacer between your block and your intake manifold to help keep the intake manifold cool to help keep the intake gases cool too

is it a big difference willie, i see there only around 60 quid.

Easy to fit yup but there are potential feck ups as your open to the top of the engine so any bits laying around can and will fall in.
not too sure about the difference but the potential is there and there has been good reviews on it.
The likes of Bill has had one for a while on his race car
