Been a bit quiet on this thread lately? Think I saw you today around 4:30ish down the H3. I was pulling into the shell station and saw a red LCR belting it past! You must've seen me this time, my ass nearly poking into the road! I hate that pull-in, it's so dangerous on that bypass. Car sounded lovely and aggressive... made me a bit moist!!:whistle:

It's been a busy few weeks for me buddy, I haven't had time to do anything. I have cleaned it though I'll get a few new pics up soon.

Yes mate I did see you in the shell, I needed some too but it looked absolutely rammed. How's things?

It was absolutely rediculous at that station, I was there for about half an hour! Only one chap serving, he then had to run outside to put a sign up saying certain cards weren't being accepted- twice! Then my VPower pump wasn't working. Only plus side was I was getting chatted up by a nurse!! (all naughty fantacies start flooding my mind!!) lol

A small update...

the car was sold (to my nephew) so i sort of lost the will to do anymore to it whilst i was looking for a new S3 but ive since seen the light and called it off. i think spending 4K on mine is a better, more cost effective use of the money at the minute rather than spending an extra 8K buying an S3 and a further 4K doing on mods.

im now looking at BT kits and will post more when i have something sorted.

i have bored out my MAF more but havent done anymore logs, it does feel very fast at the minute so there isnt much wrong with it. plugs on there way too :)

I cant justify 4k and more power on a fwd car, so i cant advise somone to. S3 + Basic remap will be as fast (because of 4wd system) as the leon.

Hi Jay, thank you... they are 18x8.5" et30 BBS CH002's (no spacers)

yes yes yes.... the Diff calls have been heard :) im not going to spend any money in that department until the clutch goes though. its on 59K so i might not have too long to wait... *touches wood*

Nick i know the S3 is a better car but i still love the Leon, its awesome

bit of good news that, i always thought a diff was around 2k minimum!

diff will be around 1200 fitted if they take the box out for you, less if its already out...

thats in the original box

makes sense to do clutch at same time tbh

thats for peloquins, slightly more for quaife

as my new plugs should be here any day i thought i would have a tidy up and remove the N249 (ive never been a believer in this mod) to make my life easy.... it ran great for two days but dies today :(

its running sooo bad, check the codes

17972 - Throttle Actuator (J338): Under-Voltage during Basic Setting
P1564 - 35-00 - -
18012 - Internal Control Module Driver Error
P1604 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
17976 - Throttle Actuator (J338): Mechanical Failure
P1568 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
16891 - Idle Control System RPM Higher than Expected.

after reading everything in this im still unsure as to what it is or could be, nobody seems to have found a conclusive remedy. im thinking its a dead TB but it runs great when not on idle. i cant find any leaks either, the only thing i havent checked is battery voltage. i get an error code when trying to adapt most times

any ideas peeps..... i really wish i had sold it now lol

When you say removed you mean unplugged as well as needs to stay plugged onto electical connection. I found the leaving all pipe work intact but bunging the pipe that goes to the DV from the N249 and 'T'ing into the feed pipe from under the inlet manifold then running to DV worked best for me.

If you want to remove it totally you need to attach some resistors to the electrical connection.
