There's absolutely nothing wrong with a quaife or peloquin diff for road use or even moderate competition use (I have used one for the past several years in my ibiza and have won numerous events with it) - the preload only comes into play if you have one wheel in the air which is very hard to do with the amount of suspension droop on a leon. For anything other than a dedicated competition car, the atb diffs are fine and trnasform the car. The wavetrac actually remains to be fully tested having not been out that long.

If you take out the gear box and ship it to them they will machine the final gear, for proper fit to the diff, supply and fit the diff for £1,500. The were out of stock when I asked last month

Hi all
The 02M Wavetrac Diff is now available from ourselves.
It has a lifetime warranty no matter what happens - this covers all race,track,sprint use etc.The diff is covered itself for failure,although if a component fails within the gearbox and takes the diff with it then it isnt covered.

Possibly around that area,depends on £ to $ exchange rate at time of order really.

I wouldnt say the Quaife is a lesser product,the Wavetrac is a new design and much time and effort has been put into it to provide a product that will be adequate for everyday use as well as track and race use.
I have written confirmation of the Wavetrac being warranted for track use of all types.

If a quaife diff costs £585 then it should be no more than £300 to fit that into a gearbox, even if you replace bearings etc.
Anyone using their car primarily for road work will not be able to tell the difference between a wavetrack and a quaife. The difference MIGHT come in instances where one wheel is in the air (like if you are jumping curbs on a racetrack) or of you are rallying with one wheel in a rut or off the edge of the road.

The fitting of the diff to the GB including machining the final gear was £550 +VAT, not cheap.

The £1500 includes fitment of the diff to the gearbox plus removal and refitting of the box into the car.
If a box was supplied to us the costs would be considerably cheaper.
The labour time involved in the diff is approx 8-9 hours,this includes,removal of box from car,full strip down of the box,removal and replacing the gearbox diff bearings,preload testing and then final build up before the gearbox is refitted into the car.
The diff isnt particulary cheap once youve imported it which is where the majority of the cost is,the bearings,shims and fitting kit are generally dealer only parts so a fair bit of the cost is there and then you have the labour.
As mentioned if you are willing to get enough names together for a group buy then we can look into lower prices for you all.

I am actually thinking of having this mod on my VW Bora 1.9 TDI (130) - I assume the prices apply to this as well as a Leon?
So it would be £550+vat for labour and parts (minus the diff unit itself)?
Add ontop of this the price of buying the diff (quaife / wavetrack / whatever) for final cost
