I just bought a set of 18's there 8.5" I thought they were 35mm offset but looking at the back I can't see an ET number but there is a 38 on back of one of the spokes so I guess its 38 offset.

Question is....will I have any major problems fitting these to my leon? I got a coilover kit to so I guess that gives me a bit more room towards the inner wing on the front.

I was thinking of fitting some 5mm spacers to bring it to a 33mm offset, do you think these will sit out of the arch's or be ok?

I would try them and see........but they don't have any tyres on at the moment and also I don't have my suspension kit fitted either.

They will have 225/40/18's on if that helps.

Any advice appriciated :)

lcr wheels are 8 inch width from memory. 18's, et35 and they fit with no spacers obviously; however even with 10mm spacers on the front and 15's on the back they still fit in the arches just about legally; so an et33 should be fine :)

There RS6 reps mate I quickly snapped em up off ebay without asking to many questions...............I thought they'd be 8" but there actually 8.5, never mind tho I'm hoping they wont cause to many problems and they will fill the arches better.

Going to sort a few kerb marks out and re paint them very soon :)

Cheers for that but I reckon I can do it myself for about £10-15 a wheel as my mates got his own place.

Just ordered some 5mm spacers so will see how it goes :)

i had 8'5 aon the front last year and i ran a 215/35/18 and ET29 this gave no scrubbing lock to lock and locked perfect. so a 225/40/18, i reckon a 5mm spacer should be spot on.

I guess I could run 215/35/18 but I was thinking because of the coilovers I would perhaps get a little [not much lol] comfort from the 225/40/18

Were the 215's stretched a lot over the rims, I'd imagin thats quite a stretch? :)

They prob would look nice but there a nice price to

I'll prob get a couple of 225/40 fitted first then I can try them on front and back and make sure there ok....If there's a problem I can put 215/35 or 40 for the other two.
