Cheapest and Easiest option to get big power? Turbo Conversions?

a couple of years ago SCN didnt have much bandwidth, so it being taken up with dv questions ect became a problem. Youd have to ask the admin but the idea of the forum was more a collection of info and knowledge than a place for chit chat/ whooshy dvs ect.

things have changed in terms of bandwidth so theres more room for everyone, so i guess its no longer a problem to respond to the same question threads week in week out.

however some of the peeps on here really know their stuff and doing a search will provide 10 times more info than your likely to get from one thread.

For example... IHI garrett hasnt been mention and you need to look at these options , more money but different power delivery.

cool cool! im not overly fussed about having them asap due to having no wheels big enough to fit over em at the mo! so if it takes another week then so be it!

do a search sparkie! only kidding the flywheel is a big like disc that spins on the end of the crank inside the gearbox bell housing and the clutch cover plate bolts to it and between the 2 is the friction plate when all is engaged it drives the gearbox.thats simply what it does, for the vr6 setup up need a g60 flywheel for it all to mate up ect. my new light weight super duper flywheel was £175 new then you need bolts ect there around £15 then the price of the clutch kit.

that £60 budget got blown out of the water.

i suppose i was being lazy, but i have tried using the search engines before, but i must not have been searching properly.

i didn't mean to raise eyebrows or cause issues, just wanted some answers to my questions. But Like someone said earlier in the thread about a reputation for the forum, and before i joined the forum i heard certain things. But That hasnt put me off.

You've all supplied plenty or info that i needed and its much appreciated. You All have a wealth of experience in conversions that i can only try and learn.

Ive not really got much problem in discusing problems or possilble power gains and what modifications etc you can do to acheive such gains...

But this subject has been covered lots think some people just get tired of having to type the same old thing over and over if your new then its interesting but if you have been on here for a while it does become a bit tedious...

As above really.
There aren't really any corners worth cutting.
I am just wondering though, if you are not sure what bits you require, is this DIY route really your best option? Another option would be to save a similar amout of money and pay for a drive in-drive out 'big' turbo conversion - that way you know its all correct and not gonna run into (big) problems

we all need to be patient i think, when i first came on here i bumped my thread about two times in half an hour and hen got shot down hard by philw if i can remember! just learned to use the good old search as it has about 100times more info than 1 post. thats my 2 pence piece.

i think he's getting the picture now that he needs to search, i know you lot get annoyed with newbies, but im sure if you answered their first question in a simplified form and then told them to search for more info they'd be more likely never to ask a question already covered on this forum
