As Title.

Anyone know any good car detailers in Nottingham area?

I have t-cut and wax my new K1 but due to poor maintenance by previous owner I still have some swirl marks and 'holograms' in the paint work I can shift.

It's a great shame on a car not even a year old and whilst aware of thsi when purchasing I thought I could cut and polish them out!!

I have used reasonable products but all but hand, no machine mops/buffers etc and feel if I could employee a good detailer now I could easily manitain properly thereafter.

Any help?

Costs would be useful to

being honest steer clear of t-cut matey, its a tad too abrasive for clearcoat finished paintwork and will more likely cause swirl marks, Ive only just recently set up doing paint correction as an evening an weekend thing myself, its been a personal hobby for the last 4 years, so thought so it why not,

If its not overly bad have a blast yourself, possibly looking at poorboys SSR2, SSR1, and then poor boys polish and sealant topped off with a nice wax, for just shy of £100 you can get hold of a Da polisher and all 3 products, but i would stick to a DA polisher over a rotary since mistakes and more easily done with rotarys to a newbie DA polishers are so forgiving, to burn paint with one is so difficult!, just dont be scared to have a play. there seems to be alot of scaremongering that goes about with detailing,

if you dont feel confident enough though i'd recommend getting a detailer to do it,

another thing you could posibbly try is just getting hold of stage 1 megs paint cleaner, then follow it with autoglym super resin polish both done by hand, , it contins a combination of fillers and real mild abrasives, and just for example I had an old rover 400 (first car :p) and over the space of 3-4 months gave it a polish every weekend, it near on removed all swirls, just takes time,

hope this helps, :)

I can make a number of recommendations. If you want to PM me then no problem. What part of Nottingham? A top bloke that I know, is based in the Mansfield area, but I am sure that he would travel.

And he is a detailer, not a wannabe. He knows his stuff.

Yeah I'm interested for the Lincoln one.. Prices, location etc etc..

Rick recognise you from back in the day mate.. See you LCR has changed massively since I last saw it which was probably Moddified Nationals on the Cruise-Lincs stand which we set up many moons ago... Do you still see any of the old C-L bunch?

Cheers (doive)
