Alarm and W8 light

Hello, Thinking on getting a w8 light for my leon tdi cupra. Could anyone tell me what they think of it if they have one and are the two red led's that are on all the time good at night ? Also can they be turned off ?

Also I have been reading a few post and I tried to set off my alarm on my leon the other night and I could't do it. Mainly tryed locking it and putting my had through the open window. The alarm didnt go off and I read that standard the motion sencors in the car are turned off ? Surely this is not true. Just trying to set it off see if it worked just a thought I had at the time (sad i know). Any ideas on testing it to make sure it works ? And note I am not punching through or putting a stone through any windows .

If you put it in right you can dim the lights with the dimmer on the dash. I made a loom so it was a plug in mod, do a search for pis and part nos
Dont realy notice the leds when driving, but you could disconect. Not sure why you would want to tho as thats the whole point of the mod

The leds you don't see, it's the light they emit down that you see.

easy way to set the alarm off would be to lock the car as usual using the key fob. Then unlock the boot manually using the key...hey presto alarm should sound.

ok i tried this and my alarm didnt go off lol hmmmmm. any ideas?

I managed to set mine off by after driving, taking the key out, locking the door and then opening it with the handel. It made a loud noise =[

There is a button on the pillar, drivers side at the bottom. This is the ultrasonic sensor disarm button press that and sit in the car and lock it with the remote. wait a minute and move about inside and see if the alarm goes off then?

theres a button to turn it off incase you want to leave a baby/dog in the car with it being locked and no alarm

The alarm wont go off if you leave a window open. The car (well mine is anyway) clever enough to know that the window has been left open so it doesn't activate the ultrasonic sensor. Just sit in it, lock it, wait 30 seconds and then move. The alarm will go off.

If not, its dead, or needs a look at anyways!
