I didn't realise you needed resistors or is it like the SAI unit where some use resistors and some dont?

Would it be best to do the mod and leave it connected if it throws up the EML light? possibly mount it under the scuttle panel so the ECU thinks its still working......or can it just be disconnected and removed with no problems?

I’ve done the by pass and removed everything except the valve its self, that’s still electrically connected.

I’ve had no fault codes but I want to remove the valve, by fitting resistors at the plug this should kid the ECU in to thinking the valve is still there.

Yeah I know that you do the same thing when you remove the SAI pump......but then I read lots of people didn't actually bother to put a resistor in the plug and have had no trouble so I'm wondering if you actually need to use the resistor

yeh i noticed a difference straight away, although to be fair, my car was having problems then i done this while it was being fixed. dunno about you, but changing gear at speed seems crisper and smoother, and the throttle is slightly more eager.......alot of people say they can hear their DV more, mine is defo more audible when im caning it to death. dunno if its due to this.....as i have said good little mod....

while you are doin it, debaffle your charge pipe too.....my car sounds like a whisleing kettle on full chat....lol

debaffle the charge pipe ? have you got any pics of that ?
