Hi ho guys and gals!!
Well i made a little progress this past week,
I put the coilovers on saturday morning then went to the unit, pissed about in a bobcat for a bit then started to pull the motor out of the gti!

Sunday morning headed down to the unit again and did some more bobcat freestyle! Pulled the motor out of the gti complete on the bed! Only to find, It has a full Poly bush kit on the front and a bigger ARB :D. Saved myself a couple hundred quid there! Im gonna put some pictures up later in the day but i wanna know what peoples think i should do!

Do i just paint the engine bay same as car and just chemiacally clean the motor and stick it in, Or paint the bay straight black and get the motor all done chemically black!!! Any ideas guys? im stumped!!

loving the progress you've done to the car now, how easy do you reckon that engine will fit in and be wired up?? will it be much quicker than a 1.6 100bhp sport?? i think you should keep the wheel's polished they really really suit the car IMO, keep up the good work mate :)

motor its self will fit a piece of piss, direct swap really.

As for wiring i have asked on here if its plug and play into the fuse box but no one answered, they dont give a ****, so i will just find out soon ha.

Well the motor has had rather alot of work done to it so should be around 150-160 ish

:) should be as fast as a standard cupra then nearly! you plannin on tweaking the motor up any more or just leaving it as is?? you'll have the fastest naturally aspirated mk 3 on the forum then :) can nobody help on the mk 2 section?? or is the engine an equivalent to any vw/audi ones? it might be worth asking on one of their forums?

haha yeah should be as quicj if not quicker, because the bloke who i got the car off reckons it was 180bhp, i say bullshit. But we will see when its on the road!

i have tried the mk2 section, no response. All i know is that its plug and play with a vr6 into a mk2 gti. So i will just have to try. i mean worst comes to worst i have the interior loom from the mk2 so im sure i could come up with something!

I just want it all to be done right now hha
