I vote for misbadging..... reference tdi or whatever the poverty spec model is

It does sound like a diesel lol

All this misbadging and black grills is all very well but goes against my keep it standard looking policy... Yes I know the wheels are black, but hey will be coming off next weekend, just enough time to scrub them ready for a trackday :) Dont want to wear those tyres out too much.

On another note, the car is a bit poorly still, seems to be running lean for some reason, trying to work ou whats going on, really getting on my nerves. :(

As I said on MSN Dan, get that engine cover in the skip. I never had any bother with water on mine and I had a close inspection today before all the OEM parts went back on, and there has been major rain and water up this way over winter.

yeah pretty much, need to investigate for any leaks on bonnet etc. The [Modded] engine cover was full of water.

I've noticed when it rains, if you open the bonnet it pisses water all over the MAF and injector rail, but I usually grab a cloth and wipe it up.

I've not run with an engine cover for a while now, and all seems ok. As the engine cover has been highlighted as an issue with broken fuel pressure regulators too, I'm quite happy to leave it off.

yes but as I said that proves nothing as this happened without the engine cover before. :p

I wonder if it differs from the Cupra one a bit then. I have never seen water on my engine at all.

Dan don't know if this is of any use to you but i have just fixed a bad water leak under my bonnet. Water was running through the 3 grommets that hold the plastic bit on the top of the bonnet(see pic )
