wheels spacers.....

hi all,


are wheel spacers any good, im sure i have read on here that they improve handling, is this the case? if so what is the best size to go for?

I hear that putting spacers on the rear improves handling well. I am not sure how much people do this by though...5mm or 10mm maybe. I believe though that you'll need longer wheel bolts but I am not sure where to obtain those. I hope to do this mod soon.

The car feels much more planted when fitting spacers to the rear. Between 10mm and 15mm either side is the norm for the Leon 1M.

10mm rear is favoured, gives decent handling increase due to widened track on the rear.

search for spacers, wealth of info.

Some people put 10mm front and 15mm rear, if you're just doing the rears i'd say go for 10mm and see what you think. If you end up liking the look but want it wider you can always move the 10mm to the front and get 15mm for the rear.
