Mine is both interference fit and a bolt just for belts and braces.

whats that mean thats gone over my head a bit? lol
im thinking either weld the pin in or getting a different pin like the ones you get on a boot strut etc so that way i could put a nyloc nut on the otherside if i can find the right size pin.
might not work but if it does it saves me getting someone to put a thread on both the pin and the shifter.
or i can just get someone to put thread on the shifter and use the existing thread on the new pin if i can get one.

Interference fit means press fit, where the pin is slightley bigger than the hole its going into.
You could weld it but you cant put a nyloc on due to the design of the cable ends.

oh i see i miss having the use of a workshop with things like a press.

i mean put a nyloc on the opposite end of the ball which attaches to the cable or is that just immossible to do?
i dont want it to be a bodge i want it to be as close to perfect like yours but dont have the access to the sort of tools you do although im sure i know some one who can do the threads for me.
am i wrong to think maybe a tap and die kit would work?

Got myself some second hand 20mm spacers.

They were in need of a good clean though :(.

I could do with some of that spray for mine! Or just etch prime them, then paint them....

My rear hubs are starting to get a bit rusty too! Something I'll do one dry day.
