VAG-COM Rotherham/Sheffield

Hi,

Long time follower first time poster.
My 03 cupra R is having issues with rough idle and feels like lack of boost.
I've trolled through the many posts regarding the issue and have come to the conclusion that not being the most mechanically gifted person without a VAG-COM diagnostic I could be looking complete in the wrong place.

So there in lies the question, is anyone near Rotherham/Sheffield area that could help me out?
Have wheels will travel :p

Any help is appreciated.

Are you able to pm me?

im thinking more like, throttle body dirty and in need of clean, that should sort the rough idle, plus recalibrate it and maybe duff vac pipe/s and or dv faulty,i had exactly the problem...well,either way i'l stick it on vagcom and check the pipes and throttle body..

Could well be as you say. Rough idle and sluggishness are typical symptoms of an under-reading MAF sensor though. A standard LCR should be seeing 180g/s of mass airflow in VAG-COM block 002. Anything significantly less than this will require a new MAF sensor. This would definitely be the first thing I'd check.

Leaky/split hoses and throttle body would be my next port of call.
