i have just a bit of oil down the acclatration cable just to eaise it a bit stop it stick in the future

done the same on all cables before now - takes a few mins more but while they are off etc

blu-tack is useful if you can operate the cable easily, use it to make a small pond/funnel at the top - fill it up a bit and just operate back n forth to let it through

do you think that will work on the cluth cable as mine seems to stick a bit

Just done my 16v today...cleaned my samco induction pipe, and blasted the TB with the carb cleaner.....that stuff is the best invention...

Also took the induction kit off and hoovered the inside and gave it a good clean. Got a few dead bugs out and gave it a quick bang.....

Put it all back together and the pick up is 100 times better !!!

ok i just bought a TB, Airbox (previous owner of my car was a clot and drilled the whole box, then must have realised the heatsink, and then fibreglassed the inside...fool) and some suspension components!
(all from a guy in cannock who is breaking a ABF gti, i have bought from him on ebay before, its a kiwi one, have a look, he might put a thread in the for sale section)

i tried cleaning it, much didn't come off, so i have taken off the plugs (it was the star allen key if anyones interested) and left to soak in some soapy water, so will have a clean tomorrow and might wack both things on, my car feels so beasty since i got it back! and i got like 45mpg on the motorway (to cannock) which was amazing :)
