i guess, you drill a pilot hole into the bolt, the insert the right size tool above and turn anti clockwise to remove?

correct?

best to heat the bolt first to soften it to make the extractor easier to get in?

whats a decent cheap ish heat gun to use, probably never use it again so....

ok, is it best to take the kit and give to a local garage or have a bash myself on axle stands etc

very tool/mechanically minded so could probably do it

use the biggest size easi-out you can as they can snap, if you that happens you got a whole new world of pain!!

shame your not near milton keynes i've got a set you could have used, but there not that expensive

good luck

Not get any metal bits?
BQ will sell a good one cheaply if you just want one, take your time and save the cash doing it yourself.

yeah got metal bits, but tbh would like to invest in a decent one to make life easier....

what size would be best for this nut guys...

James, if your buying easy outs buy the square ones, have had much better results with these than the round ones. Contrary to the above use the smallest size first then move up if you have to. theres not much torque on these bolts so should be easy to take out.

will do, the bolt is loose, just cant get to it to remove due to the housing it sits in...

If its loose anyway just try drilling it and it will probably spin in and drop into the sub frame.
Cant you get at it with long nose pliers or a small cold chisle
