hi its the 16v i justpulled the switch of and the other bit on the side

erm it maybe a good idea to make sure there is no soap at all on it then make sure its 100% dry before reassembly as anypart that has soap or excess water on it could throw out the whole mix and cause a whole world of trouble for you make sure everything fits together as it did when you disassembled it and make sure all the plugs are ok not bent or damaged if this is all done then you should be ok with no problems but for future reference use a carb cleaner and a cloth to make sure its all clean and try to steer clear of soap and water

It should be fine mate. I would have thought you would have put it back on covered in soap sudds. lol

glad to see this thread come back actually as brought a can of card cleaner at the weekend and gave the misses 8v a good few squirts and the got her to rev it a bit and did a few more squirts.

The results were fantastic and it feels like pick up has improved ten fold !

hmmm i never tried card cleaner mate, might have to :p ;)

but your right mate, makes a massive difference, i want to take mine off when i have time and properly clean it, maybe even sand it down to make it smooth (if theres nasty grime), that's for when i have time (easter weekend maybe?) but i need to get a new TB gasket
