Mat... You and I have exactly the same problem.

Personally I'm coming up for 150k miles and it's been a good journey.. but I'll be watching your progress if you don't mind, I'd love to hear how you resolve it.

I've been living with the problem for about 8 months now, and I plan to keep living with it, although I'm sure it will get worse until I actually get it sorted.

Keep us informed!

Anyone got a link to the pic that someone drew in paint as a quick diagram? Have it saved on old laptop, but can't get access to it!

was litterally a drawing in paint! just want a simple pic to print and look at to make sure it's all ok!

Will be with 2 mechanics when I do it, so they SHOULD also have a clue

matt, look up the thread on catch tank from about 2 weeks ago. I explained quite thouroughly what you need to do. very easy mate.

lemon, yes you can get the injectors out through the top with a suitable sized spanner. Be careful with the o rings though (the rings that sit between injectors and manni like a seal) else you'll need to get new ones.

btw, i;ve taken mine off several times and never took out the injectors. Think injectors can only be properly cleaned with some technique of which the word sounds very expensive/fancy lol haha...

i have the very same problem on my 1.8t golf, thought it was the oil seals in the turbo.. so i changed turbo, no difference!
i did find oil in the TIP so i think a oil catch tank is in need..
if that doesnt work i will do oil stem seals. but it only smokes on tick over after 5mins or so? and not in the morning etc.. so not sure it is that?
be good to see how u get along with yours m8.
