I'm pretty sure Rob's header tank is/was a proper Bailey one.

The btc-direct.com tank isn't of the same quality. One person on here had one or two and they leaked in the welds.

I got an answer back from Bailey - they don't make them anymore, they said that BTC own the jig for making them so can't do them anymore.

To finish off the silver intercooler hoses I found a hose from Roose Motorsport, originally for an Escort RS Turbo, an S-shape hose that is 70mm one end and 63mm at the other, so perfect for between the 70mm throttle body and the MAP pipe. It had no DV takeoff so I used a self-sealing 25mm revotec adapter, advantage being I could fit it anywhere I wanted.

I had to re-do the radiator hose, but because I run a swirl pot I had to bring it round the front.

I think its like a buffer tank for petrol that allows there to be enough petrol for the car without having to wait for the in tank fuel pump to kick in to supply it. ie saves on fuel starvation....but I could be very wrong

Explanation of a coolant swirl pot:

It is standard race car practice to use a swirl pot in the cooling system. If hot spots in the engine cause localised boiling of the water, small pockets of air will form. Air in the water will reduce the heat transference properties of the cooling system. If correctly positioned & designed, the swirl pot will spin the water around inside it, making any water pockets form in the middle of the water. Percolation will then make this air rise inside the swirl pot, and exit out of the small bleed tube in the top, back to the header tank.

I have just changed the pipes to red silicon and tapped the breather from the block in to the one coming from the Tip, should i have left it as it was?

Rob where can i get one of these? Backdraft sorted me out with the bracket and cover, cheers Rob, they where more than helpful, definitely going to use them for my K04 hybrid conversion.
