I'v got a split hose going from the charge pipe to the N75 valve, Does anyone know if there is a upgrade kit for this if so who sell's it. I'v looked on Forges website but there's nothing there.
The hose that has split is the top one of these two

nobody does them i was looking myself. The standard ones are crap and expensive from the dealers when i priced it up over £50-60 i think. Also they split again straight away if you tighten it up with a jubiliee clip.

I ordered some silicone hose slightly undersize to sleeve tightly over both the n75 and the charge pipe fitment no jubilee clip needed, fits very tight and cant pull it off now probably because the silicone sort of sticks to the metal and is a tight fit. it hasnt got to be bent to a perfect shape how the original was because the silicone hose will just kink up and close up if you try to do that.

i didnt take the same pipe route. i took it from the charge pipe then coming over the vacuum resevoir to the front side of the TIP then looped underneath to the n75 valve connection. just a black cable tie to keep it from moving around anywhere.

I just got a price to replace the pipe :-o So I'm going to ring Forge tomorrow and try makeing my own hose,

jwfcms does 8mm sound about the right size to you ??? and do you think it's worth replaceing any of the other vacuum hoses while I'm at it ???

Replace all of your vacuum hoses whilst you're at it. The stuff VAG use is far too wide IMO, you'll easily get away with 4mm standard silicone hose. No need to go anywhere near any big name companies, they'll charge you a fortune when you can get exactly the same stuff from your local motor factors for pennies.

If you speak to guys at forge and maybe send a sample they might even start to produce a replacement if the interest is there.
I know i would certainly be interested

i cant remember what i ordered exactly i ordered a few togther to do the actuator hose aswell as a few from the n75 etc. i just measured the tubing coming from the charge pipe and also the n75 because im sure they have different outer diameters. but i found a pipe which fited them both tightly. 8mm sounds about right.
i could never find one to replace the pipe from the dump valve to charge pipe, every silicone piece kinked up and closed when i tryed to bend it so i just left that one alone.

forge or somebody could do with making an uprated one.

you will find you wont have to use a jubilee clip with the new silicone hose on the pipe you split it will hold that tight once its on over the bulge on the charge pipe fitment if you do you might dig into the hose and split it again after time.

i replaced all the vacuum hose i could with 3mm silicone hose for the FPR, Dump valve, gauage etc.

I'm looking to replace all of my vacuum hoses with silicon replacements as I have some strange part throttle boost issues and think I may have a split pipe somewhere.

However, I'm a little confused, can someone clear up a couple of questions please. On this diagram:

1. I believe #35 is the N75 which controls the opening of the dv, is that right?
2. I think #45 is the N249, what does this actually do?
3. The pipe coming off the top of the dv, what does this connect to?
4. The 'S' shaped pipe shown to the bottom left of the dv below #42, what does this connect to?

#45 is the N75 and it controls the opening of the wastegate, not the dump-valve.

N249 provides ECU control over the dumpvalve. The pipe coming off the top of the DV goes to the intake manifold.

Hmmm, ok, I think I've found the answer to question 1. The N75 controls the wastegate on the non-compressor side of the turbo and I guess is equivalent to the N249 controlling the dv?

Is the line from the top of the dv t-pieced to anything or is it a straight vac pipe to the intake manifold? Think I'm going to need to spend some time looking under my bonnet on saturday to figure this out in my head properly.

There will be others who'll advise you more competently mate, I have a Saab turbo background as well as VAG. They are similar setups but have important differences, I wouldn't like to misadvise. IIRC, it should be a straight connection direct to manifold. I'd go and have a look under the bonnet before taking that as gospel though.

No worries, appreciate the help.

Do you reckon 4mm and 8mm is all that is needed? Any idea how much you are going to need?

I had a look earlyier and the one thats split is 8mm internal diameter, It's £14.37 for 3meter's of 8mm and £7.48 for 3meter's of 4mm, thay should be enough.
