Yep lol, somebody upstairs liked me that day! :seatgod:

Ah sorry matey, try this http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/cerwin-vega-p-7232.html
Cerwin Vegas are pretty good for their price

Cheers mate. It's all sorted now though, picked up an InPhase xt12 at Ultimate Dubs for £35  It's alright so far, need to fiddle the settings on my amp to suit the sub. Might remove my cap like you said - what's the deal with caps? Some people say to have one, others say don't!?

The only people that say get caps are probably working for an audio company ;)

Just think about it, As soon as you start up it's already draining power from your battery putting more strain on the alternator even when there's nothing playing, but then when the bass hits, it'll take the power out of the cap and the battery has to recharge it again.

Someone on talkaudio did a test with and without a cap on their system, and on average it was like 1.5db higher without

Haven't updated this for a while!

Finally pulled my finger out and got her a Revo remap. Guesstimated about 10% increase. Engine sounded very different immediately due to the ignition advance and fueling and was much more responsive! The map ironed out alot of the flat spots too :D Results from RR to follow.

Painted my current front calipers Hamerite Hammered Light Blue - Just to be different! Masked them off and gave them a few coats each. I like them, but won't be painting the vrs calipers that colour! Have something else in mind!

I noticed that my front strut brace had started to flake and begin to rust. The rust was very slowly 'growing' onto the strut tops in the engine bay so it needed to be painted. I've had a colour scheme in mind for a while now, and the strut brace is the first item in the transformation :D

Went to the RS Tuning RR day on Saturday 30th May. Great to meet new people, thanks again to Damo for organising it!

Stage one remap from Revo quote approx 10% increase, so +10hp. Standard she pulled 103 so was expecting/hoping for about 115.

She pulled 116 followed by 119.1 and 119.2bhp @ fly! Torque = 108lbft. Really pleased with the figures - got a few things in mind to reach 130 before the end of the summer!

Looks very nice, Rob

What did you use to stripp the paint off the strut brace?

Stole my pic too I see ;)

Cheers mate! Wish it had the power of your Cupra though!

I used NitroMors to strip the paint. Foul stuff but does the job! :D

Yes, how could I not? It's a great pic!

Looking good mate :) Really like the rolling shot

Thanks mate :) I like that shot too, can't help but think I need some spacers at the front though!

Very nice car matey

I was just wondering if you could say a bit more about getting the car REVO'd. Ive got a 1.4 DAB and was thinking about getting a re-map although £200+ is a lot to shell out...would you say its worth it? Has it changed the car a lot and is it noticable?

Cheers

Michal

When did you get the DAB mate... can't see a thread for it?! How far have you got with it?

The biggest changes have been the drivability and throttle response. I know it sounds a bit cliche but the map smoothed out a lot of the flat spots throughout the rev range (look at the power curve on the dyno graph ^^). The ignition is advanced slightly, so the engine sounds slightly different.

Although the above are all advantages, its hard to ignore the <10% power/torque increase from the map; particularly when you're parting with £230!

In my instance, a remap was the remaining piece to the stage 1 puzzle. I'm planning to supercharge her next year, but this means another remap - I did question whether the first map was worth 6months, and I decided yes!

Hopes that helps!

Ive had the DAB for around 2 years now...although i still have my 1.4 Sport which my dad now uses from time to time...i really shoud sell it!

I havn't made a thread for it yet as its been pretty standard appart from a smoothed airbox and an exhaust tip :( although i now have the whole summer to play around...got a BCM CDA coming on Wednesday so that should be fun! Also planning on taking the exhaust resonator out to make it a tad louder. Been looking at the Lupo Raceland manifold too...i think it could fit with a lil bi of bending...still not sure tho.

Cheers for the revo write up!!! I'll have to have a long think about it!!

You planing on supercharging her!?! Wow that would be amazing...i remember reading on Club Lupo that someone did it to their Lupo Sport...i had a quick look into it when i had an Arosa Sport but it cost soooooooo much :( Ill deffinately be interested in the outcome!!

Good luck with you car buddy :D

I was looking at BMC CDA the other day, along with the DIA... Not sure what to do, would be good to compare intake temps etc with your current set-up, BMC CDA, and my open filter! I've also been looking at manifolds... including this -> here. Combined with a decat, and a few other tweaks, I think I could have 130 by the end of the summer (prior to s'charge).

You going to be at any meets this year, could take you out in it.

I hope it'll be amazing! There are a few charged lupos around now, both 1.4 16v's and 1.6 gti's. Nobody has done a mk4 ibiza though I don't think... yet ;)

really nice car, quite alot of mods im planning to do here as its the same engine as mine.

The vrs brakes - I want to do this at some point, does it just replace the fronts or all round? Did you ge the lot from a scrappy?

how much is your budget for the supercharging? Heard tuning n/a engines in this way is extremely expensive - I'm interested too see how you get on with it, a unique project!

The rear brakes are the same. Only thing worth changing for is the colour... which i'm changing anyway so the rear vrs brakes I have aren't needed. I found a breakers ad on ebay and messaged asking if they had the hubs + front brakes. Sorted!

I haven't set a budget as I am doing it at uni. I expect about £2500-3000 though. Cheers mate.
