fan problem

i have problem with my fan when i stop my car it is still on.even if i have driven a long trip or short trip.the temp gauge is working but fan start if i have 60 or 90 degresse

okey and what did you change to fix it will fault codes come up on vag-com?

Yea the fan switch or the thermostat are probably the only things it could be.

was. i never let i never let anything get out of hand. i always got new parts straight away.

front of the engine bay on the left. a motor by here is what keeps the water pumping and the fan will stay on to cool the water so it can cool the turbo and engine.

i know were that one is.but today i turn the igniton on an then of and the fans turned on but was still going when i tokk the key out for over 5min??and now my battery is flat
can i use vag-com to find the fault??

I´m guessing the temp sender/switch in the radiator is fecked and therefor gives the fan a signal to go all the time..
