Hey guys

Would any of you have any clips of a resonated and non resonated sound on a petrol ibiza as the only ones that i can find on youtube are the diesiel ones

much apprciated if you can as am looking into purchasing one or the other.

i dont want a loud exhaust as i get up nice and early and dont want to get up my neigbours backs as they put up with me for four years with my ott one on the mk3. I wouldnt mind it having a bit more grunt then the standard one just long as its subtle at lowish revs

Many thanks :blahblah:

I have this clip of my non-resonated Milltek but it's really not a very good one! At low revs, it just sounds a bit deeper and sporty. As soon as revs hit 3200rpm, it makes a really nice sound :) The only thing I don't like is that it sounds a bit boomy when you do a cold start and it's idling about 1200rpm. But when the revs settle down after a minute or so it quietens down.

This one isn't mine but sounds pretty much the same: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vEm8X3_Rk5Y

cheers m8 to be honest it was a bit of a wild shot as you can never get a decent sound from a vid clip any way sounds nice tho but cant really tell how loud it is etc hopefully there will be some at the gti fest this month which will give me some idea ;)

That sounds fit as hell just before you chicken out. ;)

Mate was driving, but he chickened out due to end of the road, If I has carried on filming you could still hear quite far away.

May have to do another one cause that was all standard execpt for the exhaust.

But have to agree with with Kriso that it's sounds a bit boomy when you do a cold start and it's idling about 1200rpm. But when the revs settle down after a minute or so it quietens down. Will get a video of it just idling

My turbo back sounds a tiny bit louder then cat back did, but that might be becasue it was moved when the front part was fitted. BUt no real difference in sound, just performance. Fitting a cat back won't make any difference to power, just the sound.

It's the same exhaust. It is usually sold as the FR version but it happens to fit the Cupra aswell. Then you can choose between dual exit and oval tailpipes.

Thought there were some issues with the lenght of the catback, milltek lists FR 04-> and thats with pre-facelift bumber and seperately cupra model which has facelift bumber. If i order the FR model, wouldnt it sit behind the bumber bit too much? The cupra and Fr catbacks have different prices also. So there must be something different on them?

The only differences on the Milltek site are the tail pipes. FR has twin exit and Cupra as Cupra style oval one. I went for the twin exit on my Cupra and it fits fine. The Millteks don't stick out as far as the OEM tail pipes do they aren't under the bumper, unless it's fitted incorrectly. They also expand so will sitck out a little further when the car is warmed up.

Where are you looking at prices? The resonated one is more expensive than non-resonated but I thought tail pipe prices are the same.

They must have added new models then. I got mine from that site a year ago and there was only the option of the FR one with a choice of tail pipe exits

Millteks own site lists the same as JKM for Ibiza exhausts. I can't see there being any difference tbh, they probably just did it to clear up confusion with Cupra owners not seeing an exhaust for their car  I'm happy with my exhaust and how it sits and I got it from JKM before they changed their site. :)
