Cheers guys,

I'm still not 100% happy with it, especially around the injectors so going to start again. Going to go over the whole thing with some G3 paste cutting compound, G3 liquid, G10, autosol

is it worth using the meguiars polish and wax on metal work anyone any ideas?

Its all the angles and awkward parts on the manifold that causes the headache, wheels would still be hard work though.

Polishing looks good, but I’m painting the rocker cover too much work to polish that.

Time for a little update on the car -

Well after my friend acquiring some stainless nuts, bolts and allen key type fixings -

I thought I should get round to fitting the rear strut brace that I have had when I had my mk2 Ibiza -

Not the best of things to fit properly with nuts and bolts, not much room, to move good job i have friends willing to help.

When the car went in for its mot and service at the weekend ( handy having a friend who is the boss at the garage, I fitted the powerflex bushed wishbones to the front of the car (the only picture I really got of them half fitted father said it was a nightmare to fit)- I can confirm it fairly stiffens up the ride,

a picture of the car on the ramps wheelless as new tyres were getting fitted all round even the spare.

Since I have these bags of stainless fittings, thought it would be rude not to start replacing all the bolts in the engine bay. I also polished the charge pipe while i was at it -

The car is now road legal all taxed and insured with my own plates added -

The near future plans are to get the power steering cap, coolant cap and rocker cover cap made up by a friend out of aluminum I have the drawings somewhere might see if i can find them, With the credit crunch wasn't to sure about paying 70£ for caps from forge
(no offence forge.) Also what do you think i should do with the rocker cover colour wise Cream, Silver, Black?

I also bought a front strut brace off of a member on here and it was for a mk4 not a mk3 as he had advertised, need to order one from seat me thinks.

I so love boost!!!

Comments welcome guys and ladies.

Is that a set of toyo's that you have got on the wheels, what do you think of the performance etc of them?? As Im considering getting those for my Oz's.

How much stiffer is the car with the wishbones?? I.e would it be bearable everyday?

Car looks really good mate, love the new numberplates aswell.

Cruiser - You have a keen eye, sort of, its uniroyal rainspots same tread pattern as the toyos but better in the wet. i had put on the front the most i could aford right now, it has goodyears on the rear. Cant really comment on performance not been pushing it but i have had toyos on all my other cars so has my dad they are a good tyre in the dry but **** in the wet,

Yeah its bearable for just now, going to order my front strutbrace tomorrow, when funds allo the anti roll bars will be my next handling purchase.

George - I will do if money prevents mods from happening sooner i will photo hoard and get some nicer ones up now the cars legal to drive, Thanks was needing opinions on rocker cover mite see how my photshop skills are. Your cupra looks nice from the avatar.

Allan can't do crail A- the cars not been on the road for 5 months need to run the thing in properly getting some forte injector cleaner at the weekend to clean the thing out. B - the other half would kill me!

I sure was but on foot down king street the car was parked it the broch all day got a lift to work, was meeting the other half after work. bluddy freezing!
