Grounding Kit

Has anyone done this to their Ibiza? Those who have, is it worth it?

I remember seeing it in General Chat ages ago, and I've noticed the subject popped up again today. Was thinking of maybe doin it as it's only a cheap "mod" and adds more colour to the bay :D

:search: 'grounding kit'

but yes even if only for the phsycological untestable reasons and the fact you can make one for £5 you can't lose :):)

sorry, "earthing kit", is that better :p

wondered if there was any proof. I noticed the comment, "increase MPG/Fuel efficiency". Is that true? Can't see it TBH. And if there is an improvement, it must be minimal TBH

how did you do if for £5? where do you get the wire and connectors from? Think I have some small connectors at home.

Not exactly rocket science soldering and crimping some spade connectors to end of some wire ;)

Just a quickie...

He starts off at the strut tower and then that cable runs to the second location on top of the rocker cover where the coilpack is and then from there to the wing on the other side?

sorry for being daft but whats that?

im on here to learn btw :D

TB3 = The Big Three

A very popular and good way to improve the charging system in ther car

Taken from talk audio

Battery negative to body.

Do this in 0 gauge too (I think this will solve your problem alone)

Alternator positive to battery positive

One step down from 0 gauge would still be fine imo.

Engine block negative to battery negative

Final step, leave main earth strap, just add this extra cable in... The idea is to create a bottleneck free circuit from the alternator to battery and back. So from Alternator mounting bracket to battery, again biggest gauge, but a drop to the next size down would still be improvement.
