Mk4 Vaillante

Anybody seen this prototype MK4? I think it looks pretty funky. its strange seeing a Mk4 with colour coded interior and leon mirrors, it looks quite quite nice.

i must say i quite like the slightly different bumpers/grills, are these OEM parts?

Yea this is a pretty old concept. There is an official bodykit / Aero edition mk4 which has a similar front bumper. But none of the Valiant parts are avaiable as OEM.

SEAT did bring out a special edition with that front bumper I believe. There is a chap on here with one in red.

^^ive seen this bodykit on a 08 cupra when i was buying mine with the bumper houseing the exhaust in the middle,bit gash if you ask me,i wasnt sure if it was aftermarket or not either way i didnt like it. i wasnt sure if it was some sort of facelift model as it was an 08 MK4 cupra.

Yea that's the Aero kit. It's not the same bumper as the Valiante but similar shape. The kit also has side skirts, and the rear bumper which you also need a differet exhaust for. There are also darker rear lights and different 17" alloys but I'm not sure if they are available over here.

They brought the kit out to shift the remaining mk4s after they stopped making the FRs and Cupras.

main drawback to the aero front bumper...if you clip anything and the grill breaks you need to buy the whole thing as it's one big plastic grill! and aint cheap either lol

so can you buy rear lights darker like that?? I was re-sealing my lamps last week and thought about trying to take the red bezel surround from inside the lamps and painting them black, would it be possible? as I didn dismantle the lamp only filled the edges with clear silicone.

i dont think you can buy the lights like that but if you can i'm getting some i can imagine they'd look ace on a black car too

no...the image is for advertising purpose only. they are available for EU residents, not being manufactured for UK (i.e. reverse light on the opposite side)

only forign headlights are illegal surely, as the beam of light points to the offside of the vehicle instead of the nearside? do you know anywhere I'll be able to purchase them? and does anyone agree with my idea of dismantling the tail lamp and painting the red bezel surround as i havent had the cover off the lamp?

lol the aero bumper bit was coincidence as i bumped into a guy who bought the latter sport model with the kit and had cracked the front grill after only 3 weeks

as for the rear dark lights, that topic has been covered before

where you get your seat covers from Rob? is that pic up the rhigos or the beacons by any chance?

cheers! didnt think anyone would be able to see the opel after it was blurred out a bit lol

i got the seat covers from ebay, type in SEAT Covers and there should be a few examples, they are pretty tight on my car because of the sport seats ( they keep pushing my headrests down to angle position, but do the job nicely). yer its in breacon beacons, on the first hill from Brynamman Side on black mountains

ahhh thought so! nice ride up that way got plenty of places to blast it also to go down the box to take some nice bends!I like my ibiza but miss my bike now thinking of the rides up there!

I've spotted a mistake in it!

Look at the exterior of the car...2 doors...look at the interior at the dirvers door...4 electric window switches!

Am I sad to notice that?
