hi, ive done a search but cant really find anything im inetrested in uprating my dog bone bushes and was wondering if i should change the front and rear bushes and how bad is the extra vibration you get and is there anything i should be aware of. thanks
I've just taken my powerflex bushes out of my DBM, I'm not going to be using these again. I'll sent them to you FOC if you want to try them. There 50,000 miles but might be worth a try to see what you think
that would be great mate but is changing the bushes something i could do my self?
So which ones do you guys recommend?
this is a very easy mod, all you have to do is jack the car up and high as you can get it, strip out your only DBM, replace the bushes and refit. The only sort of specialist tools you will need is a torque wrench and metric socket set.that would be great mate but is changing the bushes something i could do my self?
I did have quite bad vibrations with this set up but you do get used to it. This did cntinue to feel good but only on initial moving off did it rear its ugly head. It's one of the best mods I've done so far - the difference is very noticable, when you start the car it feels more solid and no more weel hop! I think the vibration is more of a problem on the diesels - can't say I really notice it now it has bedded in, although that could be me getting used to it! Still, so much better than without it, when putting my foot down made the front end lift up like hell!
I think the torque settings probably play a part in how much vibration you get, perhaps overtightening can cause more vibration? Dunno.
What have you swapped them out for INA? Forge?
