HAven't heard of those mate, but have a look on www.camskill.com

From what I've seen they are well cheap. Try and get either from Falken FK452s or Goodyear Eagle F1s, they always have good reviews...

I've got Goodyear Eagles on my Cupra and they're the best tyres I've ever had, got them for £55 a corner :)

i had the same issue, went into get my balancing looked at, they told me i needed new fronts as the insides were scrubbed

they bigged up these marshall's no end, so i went for them as thats all they had, and mine were illegal

you'd get more traction if you lined your current tyres with bin liners

seriously they are dangerous, and shouldn't be allowed to sell them
I think they are actually made from plastic, i had a few dodgy moments driving at slow speeds in the wet

....funny you should ask this question though, as i've been on the look out for some around the £60 area
i've got these on at the mo:
FALKEN FK452
and they are great, about £60 delivered from cam skill or mytyre, but sadly no proper rim protection, so get close to a kerb and SCRAPE!

I've previously had Hankook ventus sport (ko3 i think) and they are really good, and have rim protection, but a little more expensive.

Has anyone used the falkens/hankook and also NANKANG NS2 ?
If so, how do the NANKANG NS2 perform in comparison (better, worse/much worse)

Can't help with the two brands mentioned as I haven't tried them but on a previous car I had Marshals on it. Having Marshall tires on a car gives you that feeling like when you are at the ice rink and can't stop and result in crashing into the barrier, more grip in your wheel bearings. Stay well clear of them would be my recommendation. Hope ya get some decent tires sorted for the right money!

I'm getting a pair of Nankang NS2's on saturday, a place in Macclesfield/ebay are doing them for £73 a pair with either fitting or postage included. Was going for F1's but some :censored: left a bbq skewer in the road as i was on my way to work at 3 this morning!! so now 3 tyres are needed so its down cheap street for now, I'll let you know what they're like, the TCS button might accidently switch itself off like it does when the missus aint there!!!

I'll let you know maybe middle of next week, i do a 40 mile round trip to work on various roads so should get a good idea, i'm on F1's at the mo but the front ones are pretty low on tread, mabye 3mm, but havin said that i can actually get round corners in the wet when my old astra with about 5mm tread used to understeer like mad

Here's the choice from CamSkill <- Clicky...

They've only got 1x Eagle F1 left, but that looks like its out of your price range.

As for fitting, guesstimate is £10 / tyre.

I've always gone for bridgestone potenza's, and cant fault them at all... apart from being about £100 a tyre .

I am due to put some new fronts on next week and the bloke in the garage was banging on about Kumhos last time as a decent cheaper option. Anyone know if they are any good or not?

Cheers

This could be quite a good thread given the current economic climate and people feeling the "pinch"

To get a bit more interest from other members, maybe the title should be renamed to "best tyres for 60 quid and under"
or something similar

How about it Dean?, you'll need to click "edit" and "go advanced"

For the love of god, do not get the Nankang NS2 ditchfinders!!! I got 2 last week and they're probably the worst tyres I've ever come across in the wet!!! They're ok (and only just ok) in the dry but in the wet, they're lethal! The traction control has a fit when you try to accelerate with a bit of spirit in 3rd gear... Off boost!:ban:
