Would anybody agree that an Ibiza Cupra splitter would improve the looks from the front of my car rather than the current Cordy splitter? Im trying to visualise the difference but Im not getting very far.

Chris Da Man.. Thankyou very much :) Upon buying the car for £250 in its standard state in Nov 07, The car was looking rather pink - pre first wash, treatment and polish.

Whats the difference between the cordy splitter and cupra splitter?? Or do you mean gti splitter?? That will go on a 1.4 no problem as I did it with mine and it looks sooooooo much better [B)] :funk:

The Cordy splitter has two vents on each side and splits in half, where as the Ibiza has a large central vent/port.

You can probably tell the difference by looking closely in my picture.

I might add that The whole bumper on my car is off a Cordoba GTI hence why I have the splitter too. This was kindly given to me by a forum member along with the skirts.

There's 3 different type's of front bumper fitted to the mk2 ibiza/cordoba, the splitters differ depending on the bumper, but the bumpers are not specific to ibiza/cordoba (does that make sense)

Pre facelift was a small bumper with a lower metal/plastic valance under it and available in black and colour coded to the car (93>96)

Pre facelift big bumper (best way i can describe it) as fitted to mikeykdan's car, has a 2 piece splitter, there was also a 1 piece available for the tdi models (96>96 i think)

Facelift bumper, 1 piece splitter, smaller on the 1.0/1.4 and possibly 1.6, then bigger with cut out slot for intercooler feed (only applicable to tdi models) but fitted to 1.9/2.0, gti, cupra sport, etc (97>99)

The dates the facelifts took place also differs slightly on the cordy as there are some 98 models still running pre facelift big bumpers (all down to chassis no and build date)

cheers roly, a wealth of knowledge tbh,

might buy a facelift one and butcher it up :)

Only because i've had all the bumpers and learnt as i go

Right, thanks for clearing that up :) I need a facelife splitter :D

Facelift splitter wont fit on your bumper i tried it on my 1.8 16v, one of the splitters is more curved than the others, i ended up fitting the tdi splitter to mine which i prefered the look of, it cost circa £50 back in 2000 though
