If the sports cat is breaking down it could be affecting the lamba sensors throwing the engine check light on

Sounds to me like the lambda sensors are reporting a problem, the ECU is trying to correct it by adjusting the mixture, its got to its limit for adjustment and the problems still there.

Could well be a rogue sensor but as ibizacupra said, try a reset. Do these faults give occurrences too or just the fault code?

Hi guys i reset all codes 2 days before i started this thread and this morning the engine check light came back up this time 3 fault codes 17705, 17545 and the one on this thread 17584. The first two fault codes i have had in the past which can be sorted with a throttle body clean but i have never had this cat related fault show up before? The Exhaust does sound different when i open my windows whilst driving. It sound like its blowing. Is it the cat thats had it or the lamba? How long do these CATs survive??

Right guys took my car to the garage today and got my yearly service and to check if they knew what the problem could be. It appears the Cat is blowing but inorder for them to do more tests it would cost me. I left it for the time being as money is low at moment but when i got home i ran a fault scan and found a new FAULT, as follows....16514 P0130 O2 Sensor Circ.,Bank1-Sensor1 Malfunction .

Now any ideas what this means?

i cannot believe that the cat is breaking up on me this early and its a Milltek.

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
