Without the HUGE light pod on one side that would be fine to drive around in! That's the only thing that makes it look ungainly.

I would doubt it'd be driveable, certainly not legal. It has mismatched wheels making cornering dangerous and to fill out those rally arches it will have different suspension and drive train to the other side.

If I get round to it I am going to view it properly at some point this week, have been told that I am not aloud to test drive it, i'm 90 per cent sure it isn't road legal so I'm staring to think whats the point?! I wonder how much work it would need to make it road legal?

Looks like something Frankenstein made! There are parts I like and parts I dont.

I think it would be better as 2 separate cars. I like the body kit and alloys on the red half, and the arch kit on the yellow half. Its too unsymetrical.

Question???

How much will it cost to replace a quarter pannel, or weld a replacement arch onto the drivers side of a mk2?

Thanks
Ollie

get all the crap and underseal cleaned out first right inside the arch top, bottom and sill area, if you can see it on the outer arch then you won't believe what is hiding inside

Not bought the thing yet, but am seriously considering it - just dont want the repair to cost as much of the car!!
Are you saying if the outside is bad i'm yet to find the worst of it once i get my teeth into it?

Engine has a comprehensive history, but needs the cambelt doing as its on 98k.
My dilemma is that its cheap, and would mean I could keep the black one as a daily, and have the other to use as m little project so I'm not without a car.
The only problem is the rust, and now what could be hidden underneath!!
