does the EGT sensor also cause LIMP mode to be activated ? and does it trigger a fault code ? because the fault codes i have are :

16395 P0020 -A- Camshaft Pos. Actuator Circ. Bank 2 Malfunction

17705 P1297 Connection turbocharger - throttle valve pressure hose

BTW: i remember that the dealer replaced a sensor in the exhaust pipe after the turbo that reads temperature ! i dont know if this is the EGT Sensor ??
Yup the EGT is Exhaust Gas Temperature sensor.

Most likely at work
On mine the car didn't go into limp mode. I noticed a huge drop in performance and fuel consumption sat at 20mpg on the trip computer which I normally average around 32-35mpg. The gases from the exhaust also was slightly smokey and smelt of petrol.

my mpg has dropped to like 14mpg in city driving when its usually around 20 odd...could it be that?or more likely the MAF?not got any errors though...

Yup the EGT is Exhaust Gas Temperature sensor.

ok! well that has been replaced last week so.

maybe those 2 valves are giving a hard time ?? anything else that could consume so much power loss. (because it should be remapped acoording to the stealers with ABT Documents in booklet and 98 octane sticker in fuel cap)
