Been thinking about the Vrs plan and I don't think now is the right time! I am going for a new job soon and if I get it my mileage will be slashed dramatically... allowing more money for mods!
I even went to see another Vrs today but it wasn't great in lots of ways Rear bumper was half hanging off and the drivers window did not even close (the bloke said it had just been cleaned and water can play tricks with the electrics!)
sounds like a gem
i think its a wise desicion you have made espically if your changing your job as no one is safe at the mo
now sign up for the rr day
the jkm One
lazy man's mod hehe
i cant really see much point in painting it tho as its under the car and will only get seen if your working on the car from under it?
Got a Whiteline RARB on its way to me next week from another member on here! I was thinking about painting it red to match the strut brace... any thoughts? Will get lots of pictures up when it arrives and I get round to fitting it!
Nice one, Mike. I still aint got round to fitting mine yet due to there still pack ice in my street. I cant wait to get it on now.
I also have a Seat Sport front strut brace coming too
Should make a good difference to the handling between the two of them..
Will getting the "trumpet thingey" out the airbox on its own make any diffrence to pickup?, Bearing in mind mines a PD130 engine.
Luke
A note about this trumpet, I would defo keep it in place. Generally speaking, having rounded edges on a pipe will greatly increase the amount of flow a pipe can deliver.
But the turbo is sucking air in at a certain rate/pressure, its not being forced in by the "ram"effect! The only thing this trumpet will possible do (the one in the upper part of the airbox) is maintain an even flow of air through the MAF I think... I removed it out of curiosity and I honestly haven't noticed any difference with it in or out (I just haven't put it back in yet )
