Diane-shop 6000K HIDs and Traffic Police pullover

The other night at about 2am I got pulled over by a Volvo traffic car who was just sat at a roundabout. He watched me go past (so would have seen my HIDs) and pulled out to follow me....

Then the blue lights came on and he gave me a tug. I initially thought he was gonna start being an arse about my HIDs, but instead he didn't say anything at all.....

Just a routine check etc etc and he let me on my way

So there we are - if you are worried about HIDs and the law - here's some pretty conclusive proof

Ive been stopped before in my mk3 ibiza cupra at about half 11 and i had HID kit 6000k from diane-shop, nothing said apart from asking why i was driving slowly (60mph) on a dual carriageway  nothing better too do keeps them entertained for the night i suppose.

Yeah definitely. Some people have told me how bright mine are and apparently they are "dazzling" but they really aren't - I've followed Police cars and passed them before and even pulled over and it's never caused a problem...

i think its a case of more of the situation you are in, i.e car full of lads, hanging around town/car parks, the way you are driving, what time it is,

yes they are clamping down on hids but all the above will get you pulled easyer for them,

my dad has a focus ST and is getting flashed about his STANDARD lights all the time, ive never been flashed!! lol

There great make sure the headlight alignment is set and it should not affect other road users.

I had the police stop me in the early hours one Saturday morning, they asked if i had my main beam was on as PC Plod wasn't best pleased when I'd burnt a hole in his retina!

I've got the Diane-shop 6000k setup.

Second the Diane shop- massive difference.
(Mine definitely need adjusting though- I drive with them on level 1 or 2 to avoid dazzling oncoming traffic)... think there are some adjustment wheels within the units....

But that might be down to the fact that the headlights are not aligned correctly, will know when it comes to m.o.t time as it will fail if not aligned correctly. Or park up to a wall head on and you can see how high/low the beam pattern is,

Is the legal limit for hids 10k? i currently have 8k in my vauxhall and havn't had a problem.

I plan to have either 6k or 8k in my LCR so good to know come purchase time, and yeah diane-shop is a top notch seller although i've heard that most hids are made in the same factory so in theory you could buy them from any seller if there's truth in that?
