as soon as I mentioned it to my mate he said I'd need to upgrade the clutch . . .

I've done a hell of a lot of reading into it and all I can see is good comments!!

so before I splash out £400 is there anything I should be aware of?

thanks a lot.

I went for the "soft start" torque profile because of this and the clutch/engines has done 15k plus - no advantage going for the other profile in road use anyway. ............................
The two toque profiles were certainly offered to me when I had my remap - this was over a year ago though.

There are different profiles for Bluefin?

I've had my car running for the last 7k miles on Bluefin with no problems touch wood. I bought it at 14k and its done 21 now.. The DPF light has only come on twice for a few minutes too! :)

hmm, i wasn't aware of different profiles, I read that you just upload your current ECU data to superchips and they send you the new data and you upload it. . . . .

the car I'm gettin has only done 6K miles so this soft start or whatever sounds like a good idea . . .

Yeh thats what I did.. Plugged it in, it did some stuff, whacked it on my laptop, uploaded it. 10 minutes later my map was ready, so downloaded it and installed it.

I had Bluefin installed on my old Focus TDCi. That was on 70k miles when I got it and I took it up to over 90k miles with Bluefin installed and no problems. Hence why the first thing I did with my FR was chop my old handset in for a new one and save 30%! :D

running revo, not had any clutch slippage, however DMF ( I think) is on the way out lots of vibration if you try to pull in 6th from 1,300 - 2,000 rpm...

Thats with 18,000 hard normal miles and then 35,000 hard revo miles on it :D

What a great question .... and one that you'll never get an answer too.

Different people will praise different things, really you'll just need to search for facts / figures and power gains as well as after map support and select one that you think will do you well ..
