Altea Alarm Problem

My myo7 altea has been in the garage because when i set the alarm with the windows down and then put my arm in, the alarm does not sound.

Even sat in the car with the alarm set and moving about the alarm does not sound.
However when i open the car door from inside with the alarm set...it does go off.

Garage cant sort it at the moment, waiting for seat tech to give them an alternative fix as the one they tried does not work

Any one, in particular Klawit, got any ideas or have the same problem?

I'd say the sensor is the problem, I had exactly the same problem and a replacement sensor fixed it.

If it's as simple as that though then I'm surprised SEAT can't diagnose it.

2 days the car was in for this time, previously 1, and now another date will be set.
They have all said it could be the sensor , but cant track it down. I think they have replaced the sensor already to no avail.
