has loads of tiny tar (or black sticky stuff) patches all over it. If you rub them with your finger they just smudge, but don't come off.

What's the best tar and glue remover to use, do I have to polish it after as well?:headhurt:

i just use autoglym to polish them off then a good coat of wax, i do try to wash mine every week and this seems to keep mine looking good, you are never going to stop the tar, just keep it clean and it stops the build up

I'm planning on buying some Tardis.

White spirit and petrol is also suggested on detailingworld.co.uk

The Autoglym stuff isn't too good.

hi Jason

I would use Autoglym Tar Remover, easily available and does a great job.

Tip for the tar remover - Put it in a spray bottle and mist it onto the panels. Then you can juust wipe the tar off after its started to dissolve.

Tardis is the best out of all mentioned above. And don't get tar remover near your clay. ;)

It varies quite a lot, depending on the person, products you want them to use, level of correction and large part is the LSP i.e. wax, sealant, etc but starting at around £150 for someone good with a machine polisher is reasonable.

£20 an hour (minimal) I'd say for a pro to do it for you, & like he says ^^, depending on what you want wax wise adding to the finish, a finish with Nattys Blue will be much less than say Zymol Vintage.

You can get people do it for less, but chances are 1: They arent insured, 2: They dont really know 100% what they are doing, 3: The materials they use wont be top notch. (IMO)

I believe Tim @ Clean Your Car is tup north, worth a call
