The K04 isnt a direct swap for the K03 : the manifold, downpipe,TIP,Oil and Coolant lines and boost pipe will all require swapping

We currently offer a JBS04 direct replacement turbo for the K03 that is capable of approx 280bhp with all the correct supporting modifications and software

We also offer a JBS05 turbo which is a hybrid K04 that is capable of approx 330bhp,again this is with all the correct supporting mods and software upgrade

If you require any more information please feel free to ask

I presume with a k03 and yours putting out 180bhp, you either have an Ibiza cupra R or an old style pre face lift Leon

general rule of any turbo, if it is different from the original spec, you can never run it on the same map (well you could try but it will run like an absolute pig)

It will run fine if the original MAF and injectors are kept, you just won't be able to go heavily into boost in case of lean running.

I drove my car halfway up the country for a remap like that.

But no it's not recommended to keep the car that way.

hi, can you tell me what the "correct supporting mods " would be for the hybrid jbs05 to make 330 bhp please.
My car has a bam 225 engine with fmic, standalone ecu, induction, 3 inch dp and full exhaust and is making about 260 bhp, if i went for your hybrid jbs05 turbo what power could i expect with reliability ? bearing in mind its a track car so it gets used hard.

Thanks
Dave

For the 330bhp you would require the high flow manifold as well as the modifications you have already

The power side of things is down to yourself and what you would want to run

As you track it however, nothing would be covered under warrenty by JBS
