They're component but they don't have those crossover things, the little tweeter ones just plugged into the big ones. So maybe thats why theyre crap!

To be fair they're not awful, just not as good as a new Astra! lol

What annoys me the most is the way they vibrate. But I guess no matter what the problem is, fitting an amp would do no harm.

What vibrates exactly? May be just something not tight in/on the door

Are you running standard head unit markmeus?

Coming along antnee, will it all be in before wednesday? Mine was going to be on coilovers before the meet, but held off... got an exhaust tho :) check it out ;)

Its, ok. If you get a amp, it needs to be able to take highlevel input unless you get convertors (see adam1.4's thread)

Just finished it off, its all wired up and works, will go out in a bit to find a empty industrial estate to set it up though, buts its fairly loud and bassy even at vol 18

Just been out to set it up, still needs a little fine tuning, but can wait for now (will sort it when I get a sub in (ie, turn bass boost down, gain up a little))

Yup, think I might get an amp! Been reading up on them and I think it's what I need. Apparently the standard head unit is pretty pants for its output.

Also been reading Adam's guide. So I'm going to have to search and see whats a decent one and convince my dad to help me fit it.

I bought them new but from a guy on ebay, only cost me £20. Just gives me the chance to buy better ones! :D Will only take me a few mins to swap over.

Gave it a much needed wash yesterday before the Derby meet. Had been 2 and a half weeks and it was bad!
This side was 10x better than the other side

Got it booked in the garage for monday for oil change, oil filter, fuel filter, spark plugs and sort out the 2 blowing exhaust joints and will look at the 3rd on the manifold, if its simple he will sort it. :) So should be alot better next week as it desperately needs this service, I'm going to put some injector cleaner through it too.

I think I've decided on what wheels I'm going to get, after trying to think outside the box, I decided looking in the box will be much better! :p Also decided on whats happening with the front end. all will be revealed when I have some money!

Seriously though, phase one of the front bumper may get done in the upcoming weeks :D
