ok guys.

I went to the dealer last week because of my car going in to limp mode the first time i start it on the day and the engine is cold.

they replaced a sensor in the exhaust manifold that measures the temp. of the gasses.

so i hoped the problem was over...

So it is not over, the last 2 days when i started my car the first time of the day the limp mode kicks in again. when i drive for say 5 minutes and i switch the ignition off and then start the car again it is just normal...

The dealer said there where no any fault messages anymore on the car so.....

somebody got any ideas ?

you need some 5mm silicon hose, and an inline hose connector (preferable 3mm-5mm). have a search, user DOLBY has a good picture somewhere of his bypass :)

alright you may want to check the plastic pipes underneath the inlet manifold for an air leak, i know they can crack causing air leak faults and the can log exhaust probe faults. they are someting to do with the boost. i was told this by a mate who works for audi when i had trouble fixing another mates lcr.

spoke to mate at audi again and he recons pull the vacum pipe of the top of the throttle butterfly and see if its got gunk in it, if it ain't that check the pipes under the inlet manifold, or he said its probably the recirclation valve he said he has known these to cause problems like that.

New info now,

its much warmer now here in the Netherlands so i only had the malfunction once ! (the turbo does not work)

but i went to the dealers and the sales man and the director of the dealership both drove in seperatly and wrote down theyre findings.

they say the car does what it should do and it has no faulty codes...
it did not go into limp mode when they drove it.

That sales man also said he called with ABT to ask about the code 17705

he said the ABT chip is causing this code and that it is normal !?!?!?

so now i am stuck again with the car they only drove and they find it how it should be so nothing further....

they did not want to replace the bosh DV with my Forge one. cuz they say its a tuning thing and they cannot guarentee my warrenty omg......

**** heads

but somebody heard of this that the ABT is normal to give that code ?
