Never met anyone slating Seat.
IMO they are the intelligent choice, same car, better looks and a bargain to boot. Unfortunately they don't do a 3.2 Leon to compare to the R32.

Yes but the Vanos on those is fragile and needs replacing at about 50k. IIR it costs over a grand from an independent.

Also bear in mind its a 13 year old engine now. Pretty sure the same power could be had from a similar capacity engine with no drawbacks now.

I think VW drivers are the biggest W anchors, they slag off SEATs as being made from VW off cuts .

Not the best people to be commenting on looks and reliability though. I think the words pot kettle calling and black spring to mind. I wouldn't lose any sleep over their comments.
